Overview
Students explore a representative poem from a literary period, beginning with the Anglo-Saxon period and extending to the postcolonial period. Students hear the poem read, view an animation of its meter and rhyme, and watch a short video that aids reading and interpretation. Interactive questions and feedback help students explore the poem's content and appreciate its artistry. Students write interpretive statements about the use and implications of specific poetic devices.
